Training Brains on How to Succeed
Specializing in ADHD, Anxiety, Behavior Therapy, Comprehensive Assessments, Dyslexia, and Executive Function Skills
The Why
Every brain is unique, and neurodivergent learners process information differently than their peers. Approximately 1 in 5 individuals are diagnosed with a learning disability, ADHD, or anxiety, and nearly 50% of those with ADHD have an additional diagnosis. These challenges often overlap, affecting executive functioning, emotional regulation, and academic performance.
When learning differences go unrecognized or unsupported, gaps in foundational skills can develop, making it harder for learners to understand, organize, retain information, and regulate emotions. These barriers can lead to frustration, avoidance, and a loss of confidence - impacting both academic success and social-emotional well-being.
With the right interventions, strategies, and advocacy, every learner can thrive. By identifying strengths, addressing challenges, and providing targeted support, we help learners build resilience, develop essential skills, and gain the confidence to succeed in all facets of life.

The How
At Learning Understood, we recognize that every brain is unique - no two individuals think or learn the same way, which is why we take a personalized, whole-child approach to education therapy.
We integrate executive function training, multi-sensory interventions, and Targeted Behavior Therapy strategies to support the way each learner processes information. Our goal is to train the brain, not just teach concepts - helping learners develop the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral skills needed for lifelong success.
Through structured, sequential, and adaptive sessions, we identify and strengthen areas of challenge while reinforcing each child’s natural strengths. We teach strategies that foster problem-solving, emotional regulation, organization, and confidence, ensuring that learners not only succeed academically but also thrive emotionally and socially.
By understanding how each learner processes information, thinks, and reacts to challenges, we help them gain the tools, self-awareness, and independence to navigate obstacles in all facets of life.
